Observing and Dissecting an Octopus

We are currently reading the book, Call it Courage, by Armstrong Sperry. We dissected an octopus as a science connection to the events in the book. The kids loved it! I got the octopus from an Asian market near my house (they are not too expensive). We had such a blast checking out the parts under a microscope! Talk about total engagement! WOW!

I also found these great Sticky Tumbler Wall Walking Octopus at the dollar store! I created four different labs to go with this classic toy! You can find these online (ebay, amazon, etc.) or at dollar stores (only $1 each at the Dollar Tree)! Click here for the link to the FREE labs!
